Our Highlight comments included: A guest wrote “Our positive
energy is motivating – dynamic people and environment” ~
“Karen’s very much tongue-in-cheek argument FOR the legalization
of performance enhancing drugs was full of laughs.” ~ “Jan’s TT
– great to change it up – great idea, good questions – well
done” ~ “Rafael (guest) speaking with no advanced planning –
with small knowledge of the language.” -~ “Pierre’s
introductions of the guests were very personable and friendly,
sharing some interesting comments about each guest.”
Congratulations Pierre G. as first-time Chairman – he ran a
smooth meeting and his commentary was unique -- his handout gave
details of the Olympic medal count was appreciated.
Diane C. was Wizardress of Ahs and Wordsmith -- she competently
carried out the roles and provided an appropriate
word-of-the-night “highlights”. As Wizardress Diane let everyone
know what the filler words were when giving her report at the
end of the meeting.
Jokemaster Dave A. provided us with a wonderful joke about
Olympic class beer drinking and Irish twins. Good fun!
I was impressed with our Inspirator Bahman, S. who spoke of Rick
Hanson and his accomplishments. Bahman was easy to listen to as
he calmly and coherently explained why Rick Hanson inspired him.
Our Chaiman certainly couldn’t have had a meeting that was on
time without the assistance of our Timer Alan B.
Jan F. as Table Topics Master gave us a session with a different
style by allowing speakers to debate Olympic topics.
Table Topics Evaluator Jane A. included both recognition of
things well done and suggestions for improvement that included
demonstrations.
Karen A. as Toastmaster was succinct and wrapped up her comments
with a toast “To our aspiring athletes”.
General Evaluator Jim S. was definitely NOT rusty as he always
gives great evaluations. Jim supplied some helpful tips that we
can all use when doing roles in the future.
Thanks to Diane C. for supplying the nourishment on our
refreshment table.
Our next Toastmasters meeting will be on March 16th at 7:15pm in
our regular location. Come join us in "Learning Through Fun and
Friendship".
