“FAVOURITE INDULGENCES” WAS OUR THEME TONIGHT! – HIGHLIGHT
COMMENTS INCLUDED: “Wow! What a refreshment table” – “Great
turnout and 4 guests!” -- “A very topical and interesting speech
by Bahman. Well done!” – “Wonderful way of encouraging people to
think on their feet – A fun way.”
What an enjoyable evening! It was nice to see some repeat guests
tonight too!
Karen A. our Chairman always has a calm presence at the lectern
and is great for showing protocol. Karen warmly welcomed our
guests as well.
Our Wordsmith Alan B gave us a word that was in perfect sync
with our theme “pamper”.
Pierre G. our Wizard of Ahs was an expressive Wizard and
definitely kept us watchful.
Jokemaster, Robert G. is certainly becoming more confident up at
the lectern and gave us another funny joke.
Karen A. as Inspirator related a personal story that made us
more aware of the importance of one’s health.
Timer, Jane A. helped our Chairman to run our meeting on time …
she even explained her role without any notes! Progress.
Progress.
Christina R. as Table Topics Master had a fun way of approaching
this role. By giving us individual objects to work from,
speakers could then elaborate in a make-believe situation.
One of our guests Tripat actually one our “Best Table Topics
Speaker” award tonight. Way to go Tripat!
Jan F. was our Toastmaster tonight and always has relevant and
thoughtful comments for us because he is so well read and
up-to-date on current events.
Our speaker tonight was Bahman S. who did his #2 speech out of
the Competent Communicator manual and did a fantastic job of
organizing it. Bahman you have a very pleasant voice to listen
to – keep up the good work!
Evaluating Bahman’s speech was Dave A. who spoke on the
objectives of Bahman’s speech and gave suggestions that we could
all make use of.
Our General Evaluator Diane C. always gives great suggestions on
how she feels certain roles can be improved on and always
praises constructive criticism.
THANK YOU CHRISTINA – What a lovely refreshment table – it
certainly added to the atmosphere of the evening!
